Hi! I'm 21 years old & I work at a video store. My manager is 24 & I like him a lot as a friend. I would really like us to become friends outside of work, but I'm not sure how to pursue a friendship with him. We get along really well & we joke around with each other all the time & I can see him as the kind of person who I could become very good friends with. The problem is, how do I go about asking him to hang out without it seeming like I'm interested in him as more than a friend? And also, is it inappropriate that I want to befriend my boss? I figured since we're close in age & all, it's not that big of a deal. Am I wrong about this? Can anyone help me with this situation? How do I ask him to hang out as just a friend? Fraternization is not professional for anyone in a supervisory field. A lot of companies frown upon it, even fire for it.
If you like him, try finding a different job if you know he feels the same way. Otherwise, you could cost him his job. Or you, yours. Best of luck!

Hmm.. no big deal to be friends with ur manager outside work. just friends shouldnt be a prob. not more than friends, as if happen that u 2 dun end up to be couple it may cause awkardness between u 2.
U can check about his likes and dislikes as per your daily conversation. If he likes pubbing n happen u too, u can invite him n his friends to join ur group for pubbing.
Or u observe if he needs dinner or supper, u can ask him if he wanna join u for a meal nearby sth like tat.
