I only have one daughter, but I plan to change my doctor when I get pregnant again. My OB was rude to me during the whole process, always putting me down and being short with me. He was pretty awful, but I couldnt change because of financial reasons. I plan on getting a midwife second time around...I think they care more about the mom on average and spend more time with you...plus, I want to have the most natural birth possible and I think midwives are more in tune with that than OB's.

I would love to stick with my present ob/gyn when I have my second child someday, but won't b/c his group no longer is affiliated with the same hospital. My daughter was born premature (at 25 weeks) and the hospital I delievered at has a NICU. The hospital my group is affiliated with now only has a Level 2 NICU (not really equipped for critical care) so I won't go there. I will switch ob/gyns simply for the safety of my next child. Our NICU was absolutely incredible! I do have a chance of delivering prematurely again due to incompetent cervix and will see a Perinatalogist as well.

I have 4 God bless them, and 4 different ob/gyn.
The first was offended when I refuse to take any pain killers (I am paranoid) so she insulted me.
The second refused to answer any questions while I was in labor and asked the nurses not to answer me too, oh, my husband had to threaten to sue them because they did not want him in with me
Third was an angle, he was cracking jokes the whole time and was very supportive (still i refuse any type of pain killers). He left the country
Fourth and LAST, well she was amazing I loved her to bits. I went into labor 2 hours later I had my baby boy in my arms.

We moved. I, too, loved both my ob/gyn's. A man delivered my first, a boy and a woman delivered my second, a girl. Hold on to those who trust.

I had two different doctors deliver my two kids. It was a group of four doctors at the same practice, and at each pre-natal visit, I saw a different doctor. With my first son, the doctor that I really favored out of the group delivered my baby. With my second one, I had to have an emergency c-section and one of the other doctors was on call that weekend, so he delivered my son. He's a great doctor and did an excellent job, don't get me wrong, but I liked the other doctor better. :)

I had a different one for each of my three children.. second one wasnt by choice, i just had a very premature birth so my docs signed over my care to the children's hospital i was staying in. For the 3rd pregnancy i chose to see a perinatologist, since we didnt exactly knwo what had caused my early Rupture of the membranes. I just felt more comfortable seeing a specialist..

i have 6 kids and they are all exactly 2 years apart, so i think it's better to have them close so they can grow up together, and go to school together, we have lots of fun, if i would have had them far apart i would only have had like 3.
