I've noticed on posts where I mention that I'm gay that I get more thumbs down and ones where I don't I get more thumbs up. Does anyone else see this happening?

If you anwer the question in this particular forum and you just want to insult gays, I will report you, choose a different topic. I'm here for an honest answer, not abuse. Sorry I know reporting is considered whining, but I'm not here to find out what redneck america thinks, I already know that.

Thanks, I appreciate about all of the answers. It was something I was just wondering about.

To the guy who thinks I need to just deal with it, I'm a 42 year old gay man, I've dealt with it plenty, have someone swing a 2 foot pipe wrench at your skull, and then talk to me. I just wanted an honest answer from other gay people about something I noticed not a lot of crap.

To Low - I did report you, again don't participate in the forum.

I only include my orientation when it's relevant to the question. I haven't noticed... except, predictably, in the Religion and Spirituality section I'm not at all popular with the fundementalist . That's for sure!

Oh yeah, and when the ignorant bashers wade in here.

You'd get a thumbs down for being gay, an atheist, or anything at all close to literate or well read. You're not alone.

And I don't find reporting prejudices to be whining in the least, but I have gotten reported for "other"...which turns out to mean cussing out someone being prejudice....

I suspect that some of redneck America wander around giving people who say they are gay -- or who answer the bigots too well -- thumbs down.

I post gay questions in the gay section of the site, and get idiot redneck american's opinions about it.

I mean come on...if you're homophobic, why the hell would you answer a question about blatent sexuality that makes you uncomfortable?!

I think it happens to us all... If you look at the comments the gay guys make to the lesbians and the comments the lesbians make to the gay guys... you'll see alot of hatred at times. We are trying to avoid hatred from heterosexual bashers yet we are dishing out to each other left and right... confusing for me really...

in the LGBT forums, the "thumbs down" seem to come from the homophobes...
and I report those that come here and insult/berate us. they are sad, lonely ignorant bigots with nothing better to do I guess...

We have a thumbs up/thumbs down system? I didn't know that.

By the way, your redneck america comment was funny.
