Not usually because it's too crowded. And it's not going anywhere...it will still be playing a week later.

I don't even think about watching a movie any time in the first week it's out. Any movie that's worth seeing will last at least two weeks... Some don't even make it to my dinky little theater in that time.

If it's really good, they'll play it in the mornings at some point, and I can get the matinee tickets. Otherwise, I wait until it comes out on video... About a year later they sell most of them used for nine dollars, and if you got any popcorn or drinks to see that same movie at midnight the day it came out, the price to buy it is less. Then I can watch it a thousand times with whoever I want, and be as quiet and intent on the plot, or as rowdy, drunken, and obnoxious as I want. Plus, by then, I'll know for sure whether or not they suck.

If it's a movie I must see eventually (and I'm very selective about my choice of movies), I'll see them on opening night. More to be among the first, and not let others telling me about the movie (I hated that!) and taking the fun part away.

If I wanted to see the movie, I try to go on Friday nights - sometimes they open that Wednesday. I like to see movies with lots of other people in the theater. It's more fun to hear comments and laughter, etc.

Not really. Maybe opening weekend. The only time I saw a movie opening night was X2, three years ago.

Don't like to fight the crowds. I would rather go to a matinee when it costs half as much. I usually do take my son to the midnight viewing of the Harry Potter movies when they first come out. He really enjoys being the first one from school getting to see it.

I always wait, I went once to a first night and had to wait out side the theater because of the line. If you wait it isn't crowded in the theater and you can enjoy the move more

I don't do nights, as the movie is really expensive.

I usually let the first weekend go, to avoid the crowds
