It sounds like the cable that goes from you battery to the solenoid is not completely tight at the solenoid end. See is the nut us tightened down all the way, It should use a 13 mm open end wrench. That would cause it to spark exactly the way you described, and it would also cause the cable to get contact when you moved the battery. Good luck, I hope this helps.

if it is sparking at the solenoid you must have a bad wire connector that is loose, and if the car stalled, it would more then likely be the same wire that runs your power supply, once it gets hot the wire builds up a Resistance and breaks down, after it cools down a little, it will start and run again. check to see if the wire is tight in the connector

Pushing the gas pedal has no longer something to do with a automobile cranking over. If the motor cranks yet would not start up you will have a gas pump subject. Nissan's even have consumer-friendly problems with distributor caps arcing contained in the cap. If the spark plugs have not been replaced for 60,000 miles i might positioned a set of NGK platinum or Iridium spark plugs in. It sounds such as you do not have a starter or battery subject whilst pointing out it rather began. whilst keeping the gas pedal down you're giving the motor greater air which has a tendency to make me think of you have a flooding subject which could be spark plugs, distributor cap, or leaking gas injectors.

Sounds like you either have a loose wire, or a bad connector. Make sure you don't have wires up against metal parts that rub through insulation.
