Do not worry, if you provide enough healthful food choices he will eat enough. Try not to attach too much importance to when and how much he eats, he might sense it and it could lead to a power struggle. When my daughter started eating she had three meals a day with us and two healthful snacks. She would not eat baby food, so I fed her what we ate. Adults tend to think children can eat more than they need to, if he seems healthy and happy I would not worry. You might mention his weight to his doctor to ease your mind. For serving guides use the food pyramid and let him eat as much as he wants, do not push food it could lead to a weight problem later.

My son is 11 months old and eats everything that we eat. If I let him, he would eat all the time. He does drink formula, but only 8 ounces 4 times a day and he weighs about 23 pounds. He never ate baby food, but has been eating regular food for about three or four months now. Ask your son's doctor about his weight if the situation is really bad, but other than that, all childern are different.

breast milk is not sufficient to supply all the nutrients needed for a 10m old, u need to supplement with lots of food.
morning - milk (anything from 7-10oz)
morning tea - a quarter apple/half banana/half orange/half kiwi
lunch - 3/4 cup of rice/porrige/cereal with 1/4 cup minced meat, mashed potato, cheese etc
afternoon tea - 1 boiled egg yolk, 1/4 cup custard, soft beancurd etc
dinner - similar as lunch
supper - milk (anything fm 7 to 10oz)
yr homecook food is great, dun need to buy commercial pdts. let yr baby eat the food as it is, no colouring, no additives.
