I dont have a blog, and i couldnt find any paper to write on so i decided to come on here.Lately I have been doing lots of thinking about my life and where I am headed. I realized that I have always gave it my best when it came to life. In high school I tried to fit in with guys who never gave me a chance. I tried so hard but ended up a failure, and now im bitter in the inside, more than ever. It's like no matter what I try to do i always feel i will fail. When i am old i dont want to look at myself in the mirror and think about all the times i ended up with nothing in return, for all the hard work i put in. I have a dream to go somewhere in hockey, but I am faced with challenges that keep me worried that i may not succeed. I mean i never made a JR A team, and JR B teams would only take me as a practice player. I just moved away to play for a community college team, and i am not guaranteed a spot. Tryouts are a few days away and i am nervous that i may get cut. im almost out of words

Paul Gaustad. Never heard of him? Plays for the Sabres...

He was told repeatedly he'd never make it in the league but he kept going. He only tried harder when it seemed hopeless. I'm not saying that this could be your story, but whatever your story is make sure you've given it 110%. Then as the years roll by (and they will) you will know that you tried your hardest and not have any regrets.

You never know how good you can be until you've given your all. And I think this site can be for pity, or anything else. It's people coming together so why try and pound the humanity out of it?

Good luck---whether you make it or not is out of your hands, you can only give it your best shot and accept what comes next.

If you want it, do it.

If it's important, stop worrying about other people and your chances, and fight.

I play C level hockey with people who have been playing their whole lives. Since high school or earlier. I'm 37, a mom, and have been playing only four years.

I made this team despite my inexperience and sometimes lesser skills because ...on the ice? No one wants it more than me. No one hustles more than me. No one puts in more heart and effort than me.

Attitude is everything, in life and hockey.

You want it? Stop putting road blocks in your own way and go f*cking get it.

cheer up mate, just beacause your life hasn't been perfect and the way you would have liked it to be, doesn't mean you're a failure. i won't believe that! i think you can do this, i think you can make it. why: because you want it so much. don't let your nerves get the best of you, conquer them, figtht them, forget them in any way you can think of, but don't let them get you. show what you can do at those tryouts. and if neccecary, tell someone in charge how you feel, tell them that you really need this. don't weep or stamp your feet, just be calm and tell them how important this place is to you. they'll listen to you and i bet they'll give you a chance.
i'll keep my fingers crossed for you! go get them at the tryouts!
let us know if you made it, will you?
good luck

it could be magnificent - yet they do no longer elect that - they only elect to "provide a comfortable speech" approximately how they are bringing replace and eliminate all of our rights as civil and morally first rate human beings who elect to advance our little ones to do a similar.
