Glue has certain polymers in it that do not allow it to stick to anything until it has dried. If you left it in the bottle long enough, it would begin to dry and would then stick. This is why sometimes it sticks in the cap and you have to work to clean it out before you can use it again.

Because the air makes it dry... and it does stick to the inside if you give it long enough.
That means like over a hundred years.
Anyways, it doesn't dry because the leftover glue from your last use dries up and blcoks the hole.

becuase the air hasnt dryed it yet and it is made of a plstic related to teflon to make it nonstick for you'r non toxic glue!
