Depends on the situation. Pregnancy can cause mood swings, but being pregant does not remove responsibility. It's no more cruel to blame or scold a pregnant woman than it is anyone else.

Actually, it is cruel to "blame" anyone, because it's a really crappy feeling - to know someone blames you for something.... mostly because we usually figure out we made a mistake without being told by someone else, and feel badly enough.
We all make mistakes and we all deserve to live without being constantly criticized.
We also should try to be empathetic as often as possible. With that comes a bit of laxity for pregnant women, at times. It also suggests that we should cut our mates some slack, at times, or our boss, our gardener, our sister and our father....
You don't have to "excuse" a pregnant woman BECAUSE she is pregnant, but you might want to put yourself in her shoes and ask yourself how you might want to be treated if you were her, in the same way that you should do that when you want to "blame" your spouce, mate or best friend for something.

Then you should not blame or scold anyone. If a pregnant woman deserves to be scolded or blamed then they should be. I, personally, don't like blaming or scolding anyone but that does not mean others shouldn't.

Pregnancy is no excuse for bad behaviour, but bear in mind there are some mental or psychological conditions during pregnancy, like depression, irritatability, etc.

pregnancy does not equal disability. hopefully, all people are held accountable for their actions. blame how? thats vague, but if someone is wrong- they are wrong. and scold? only naughty children get scolded.
