i have sampled many exotic meats ............alligator tastes like blubber . the people that think otherwise were duped and fed chicken or something . i have had free range moutainlion and giraffe that were both quite tasty , and I love fresh buffalo meat . it's becoming quite popular ,and when the worldwide herd is greater , expect to see it in all the supermarkets . rattlesnake is delicious , fresh and barbecued . of course there is venison , quite tasty , but somewhat gamey . i had turtle soup once in mexico . the meat was decent although chewy .
bon apetit !

ive tried venison which is deer meat - it was very gamey and tasted like someone just shot a deer and put it on my plate....it was very chewy and took a while to swallow...i would not recommend this meat unless youre at a very upscale restaurant

Alligator tastes like chicken sort of.
Snake tastes sort of like chicken, but stronger.
Quail tastes like bland chicken.
Frog legs taste like chicken.
Buffalo tastes like beef pretty much.
Kangaroo tastes like a milder version of venison.
Venison tastes like a mix between beef and lamb sort of.
Eal tastes like fish.
That's all I can think of that I've had that's unusual at the moment.

I've had snails, crocodile, kangaroo and emu. I didn't like them very much, all had a unique taste and I didn't like the idea of eating my country's national symbol. Give me chicken or beef any day!

Hmmm, I had quail...it was pretty good. I had barbeque squirrel, it was pretty good too. I've tried buffalo, tasted like beef. Frog legs tasted like chicken. Venison was alright; it depends on how its cooked. Calimari..oh yeah good stuff...and when I went to Texas this year, I tried calf fries (testicles)...and they were REALLY good!! (really)
