I would have empathized with you were it not for your "a burrito eating ball of grime or some smelling fish head eating b*tch" comment. You hated your co-workers for being racists, but you showed bigotry yourself by generalizing your disgust for mexicans, filipinos, etc.
I've been to LA many times and I've witnessed racism committed against whites (and I really understand what you're trying to say). But I've also met a lot of kind hispanics. I've befriended and butt heads with blacks as well. Racism respects no particular race. It's ugly in any form, whether it's against whites, blacks, asians, or mexicans.
What your colleagues did was awful. Racism is disgusting. So don't play in that field.

OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH, yes. I am a true victim of discrimination and racism from Hispanics.
I live in San Antonio, Texas, where the reported population of Hispanics is 52% of the total.
Just like the blacks, Hispanics cry about being discriminated against, yet they, too, discriminate and to a degree at least as equal to the discrimination they claim to endure.
Racism and discrimination is a two-way street. The REAL problem is people do not believe ( not easily, anyway) that AWM (Angry White Males) are victims of discrimination.
The only ones that seem to have a good chance in filing a discrimination charge are: women - Blacks - Hispanics - homosexuals - lesbians - the obese - the handicapped - and probably a few others. But let a WHITE MAN claim he, too, has been discriminated against and all he gets from people is a good laugh.
Perhaps that's why they call us Angry White Males.

Your use of the insult "burrito eating [sic] ball of grime" marks you instantly as racist. Just to let you know...
I have many foreign-born latino friends, and a few Mexican friends as well. None of them have problems getting along with me or other whitey US-born people. In fact, lots of the latinas prefer to find boyfriends among the gringos over their own race for some reason. From what I see, my friends here deal with discrimination (however minor) on a daily basis. It might be difficult to be understanding when you're constantly getting crapped on like that.
In the end, just because you're a member of a "minority" doesn't mean you are automatically not racist. There are racist bigots among any and all races.

When I lived in L.A. I worked for the city of L.A. But I could never get promoted, even though I scored 100% on my tests. why couldn't I get promoted? Because I do not speak Spanish.
They will hire Mexicans who can not speak English, but will not hire Americans who cannot speak Spanish. They said it is discrimating if they do not hire them because they cannot speak English. But, it is not discriminating if they don't hire people who cannot speak Spanish. Make any sense?
I even wrote to the ACLU and they never even replied. That proves the ACLU is racist.

I am a minority in my state, and yes, I have experienced racism; however, I ignored the problem.
Your post indicates that you do not ignore the comments, and are inclined to "lower yourself" to their level?
Why is that? I see no point, personally, to do that - it only makes me more stupid (for lack of a better word) than the person calling me a name.

sounds to me like you deserve every word of racism thrown at you. And by the way, the blacks are worse than the Mexicans ever thought of being.
