First of all, you need to know about your ovulation period. Being pregnant depends mostly on the timing - you have to have sex at the time you are ovulating. Have some education on this if you can. Secondly, prepare yourself for being pregnant- have sufficient rest, stop smoking, eat healthy food, have fun with your mate, and you can start taking some prenatal multivitamin ( e.g. Materna). It's up to you if you take pills or not - it's not mandatory though. I'm a health care professional, and I followed all those, I became pregnant at the same month. Now I have a 3 months old. Good luck!

There is a natural solution - however it is a pill form - but can get them from Holland and Barratt
Its called AGNUS CASTUS and can be bought over the counter - it is a natural berry which help regualte periods and mature eggs (Did you know it takes 3 months to mature eggs!!) - Take this pill every day for 3/4 months - and then try to concieve again (but do not take whilst trying to concieve) - take folic acid and encourage your fiancee to take multivitamins - and during this time, your bodies will be 'ready' to concieve. In a study of over 100 people with infertility problems, within 3/4 months of taking these pills 70 became pregnant first time.

I took this when we were planning our first - as I had a few problems concieving, and have just started taking it again as we are planning another child.

A year is long enough that you need to see a doctor for tests. But I agree that getting married might help. If you're planning a baby get married first - what are you waiting for? The good feeling you'll have could help you conceive.

My friend and his wife tried for 5 years before "it" happened.

September is nothing. Be patient. If things don't work well, first of all don't stress over it. I think it does something to the sperms. Second, see a doctor for possible causes. They will take a sperm count on him probably first. I don't know. My wife and I were in the opposite boat. We had kids coming before we were ready. I would rather be in your shoes!

Maybe you should get married first. Perhaps the added stress / insecurity of not being married is causing psychological problems with conception and if you stop putting the cart before the horse and get married first you will then be able to relax and conceive.
