You are wrong. Wars are not caused by religion, they are caused by greed but blamed on religion so as to inflame and polarize people. All wars are based on money, land acquisition, slaves and such. Check your history books. We say that the Civil War was to free the slaves...it was not! The north was industrialized and slaves were incapable of being stuck in factories and mills without some education and training, whereas the south was agricultural and the slaves had tended their own gardens in their native lands so it was easy to adapt them to the job at once. A few northerners felt the pangs of guilt and tried to stop the slavery but the south had to protect its source of labor...it boils down to money...not religion...Japan invaded Manchuria as an expansionist move, there have been many small wars in South America to expand land but also to gain gold fields, and Germany wanted to expand its natural resources by invasion...the Crusades...who was trying to do what for whom..?

People want to believe that they are better than "others" whoever those others may be. When in reality all they do is spew hatred and cause more anger and hostility. I know this is history but it is relevant. With the crusades the Catholic Church wanted the Ottoman Empire back and thought their God was the one and only god. They wanted to save all those heathens, or kill them because the world would be a better place without them. The church has even gone as far as to persecute those who were not the right kind of Catholic. (Protestants vs. Catholics?) Today, many are unhappy with their present situation and see violence as the only answer. Unfortunately the U.S. is helping to foster more and more hatred, and it is sad that the Muslim community is the target. Religion should never be the reason for war. It is something personal that should help shape morals, not hate.

You'll find if you look closer that it is the religious "Leaders" that cause most of the wars, not the common man. And it seems that it is the unsatisfied, down-trodden ones that are the fanatics and easily led by the "Leaders". Think Hitler. He came into power and whipped up the fury against Jews during the German's equivalent of the Depression.
Is the entire Muslim or Islamic religions at war with us, or is it just a fraction of them?

because of the many differences between religions. People think that they are right and you are wrong and that causes wars.

All wars are started by people
They may try to justify it with religion.
God does not need you to kill.
God does not need your money.
If your god cant convince me with words then your god is not much of a god.
