It becomes an Identified Flying Object abbreviated IFO. I've read some books and seen TV shows about UFO's and IFO's. One was on today, as a matter of fact, on National Geographic, Discovery or History Channel. All UFO's can potentially become IFO's if they aren't hoaxes.

If you identify it, there isn't much time to think of a name for it. The men in black will be ringing your doorbell. After opening the door, the next thing you'll remember is waking up in the morning, not knowing what happened last night.

It is identified. Most are aircraft, often test aircraft. Sometimes electrical disturbances can cause UFO effects (UFO's often are sighted in areas like New Mexico, and Texas, as they have climates with high electrical storm activity).
When we identify it, we call it whatever name it is we identify.

A frezbee tied to a fishing rod. Unless it's one of those flying RODS captured by video cameras. Which aren't supposed to be non-living. But,no one knows for sure yet what these things are.
