This is a great post... I had to look it up!!!
An 'Alternative Question' is a question that presents two or more possible answers and presupposes that only one is true.
Example... "Would you like chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry ice cream?"
So in this case, both 'yes' and 'no' would be the wrong answer and there is no answer that is "more correct" than the others- hence no wrong answer.

The answer is MUTE. If there is no correct answer maybe you are asking in the wrong way or wanting or expecting an answer to something where there is none. THere is no rule of thumb that says we have all the answers all the time. They just lay MUTE.
