So I have this friend who had a crush on a guy I didn't know. One day I saw him and made her sit at his lunch table with me, which is how I met him. Soon enough, she's stopped liking him and I'd become best friends with him. I started liking him, and he knew about it for a short period of time, then stopped for a little while and told him so, but continued to afterwards without telling him. He really is my best friend- the other day when I was at camp I killed my friend's phone battery because I was on the phone with him for too long. He was saying he was bored and wanted to go up to see me. We talk on the phone and aim and hang out a lot, and we both take up half the comments on eachothers myspaces. He's told me he would find a way to stop my obsessive apologizing (another long story) and cutting by senior year, he always wants to hang out, and he used to wait for me all the time when we left lunch, but that's all probably just because ( to be continued in notes sorry it's so long!)

...could be just because of who he is, and he's liked another girl for years and years that he barely knows just because she's pretty. One time I said something about how I used to like him and said I knew it used to annoy him, and he tried to make a point that it didn't. But I still don't know whether or not I should tell him how I feel. He's also the one that told me about this website, so if he finds this I guess it answers the question..lol

Judging my the use of the term "lunch table" and "by senior year" I assume you are in high school. That makes the answer trickier. Once you get a little older and out of high school, the answer is less complicated, you wouldn't HAVE to see him every day etc. As for surviving in high school, try to be subtle. Your statement that you liked him and knew it annoyed him was a valiant attempt but not quite subtle enough. The next time you are just hangin out make a comment to the effect, "I just love hanging out like this." or "It is so cool to just hang out with you like this." and LEAVE IT AT THAT. Calmly and confidently go about what you were doing with no further comment. That statement lets him interpret it according to his own thoughts. Drop comments like that every few days (don't sound like a broken record though). Take a little extra time to get ready and emphasize looking confident and with your own style. Be extra confident around him, and try to seem like you like being with him but don't need to. When you feel a bit brave, give him a quick peck on the cheek when you say goodbye (keep it like you would kiss your grandfather goodbye, etc.) If he really starts talking about other girls and seems to really want your opinion of other girls a lot, then you got him. Ask him out.

appears like this guy is purely making you nuts with the aid of going returned and forth together with his thoughts and making you sense like he loves you and then acts distant. i say tell him. sounds like u 2 really have a thing for each other just afraid to say so. tell him b4 he thinks ur not really interested (just as friends) and goes 4 someone else.
