go to www.download.com and download Spybot Search& Destroy and Adaware SE Personal.If you are running Windows XP and its a legit copy then also download Windows Defender from www.microsoft.com

Microsoft's free Defender beta 2. Purchased from Giant two years back. It auto updates daily and is capapble of cleaning in the windows registry which many freeware programs can't do.
You might want to double up the protection with an antivirus program that also detects and cleans spyware.
No program is 100% as new intrusions are created daily and the fact that intrusions are reported to specific vendors so not all programs will be aware of an intrusion. That is why some programs can catch what others don't and vice versa. Until the program knows about an intrusion and receives a sample to test and develop protection for it, it can't do anything.

hi, spyware is a disgusting and infamous virus. perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.
i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

Download Spybot Search & Destroy and Lavasoft Adaware. They catch the things that the other one doesnt.
