The best thing to do is go in and have them done at a salon for the first time. The you can keep them up with a pair of tweezers.

Most people can get away with not duing much to their eyebrows and still look good. It's okay to get rid of unibrows and stray hairs but thick natural eyebrows are very "in" right now. If you are insistant about reshaping your eyebrows the best and easiest way to shape them is to use a pencil and hold it against the sid of your nose and line it up with the inner corner of your eye. This will tell you where the brow should begin. Next, keeping the pencil against your nostril, position the pencil right infron of your pupil while looking straight forward. This is where the highest point of the arch should be. Last, take the pencil still against the nostril and place it in line with the outer corner of your eye. This is where it should end. Mark those spots and carefully and slowly pluck the stray hairs so that it gradually tapers to a point on the outside. The easiest way to pluck brows would be right after showering. Your pores are more open and it makes it easier to get the hairs. Use sharp tweezers and have good lighting. A clear eyebrow gel (looks like clear mascara) will help keep the shape. To fill in any gaps I like a tinted wax/ bowder combo that matches your brows like the one by benifit. Fill in gaps with a hard tinted way and top with a powder for the most natural look. Sonia Kashuk (sp? ) makes a good multi hued wax that you can get a target which is decent as well. If you have any questions, just email me but I hope this helps.

Eyebrows are a tricky business but when you figure them out it's all downhill from their. Everybody's eyebrows are unique and the shape is different. Some people have a natural arch, other people have a nice smooth curve. The best way to figure out where to start plucking your eyebrows (so you can avoid the unibrow look) is to hold up a pencil and line it up with your nose. Anything sticking out on the wrong side is bad. Don't over pluck! When you pluck, pluck one or two hairs ONLY at a time when it gets down to shaping. If you have bushy eyebrows get a toothbrush and comb them upward. Then you can very carefully snip away all the extra length for a very nice groomed look. Always pull in the direction of the hair. And before you plug, put a warm washcloth on the eyebrows to make them come out easier (or pluck right after you shower! )

Your eyebrows should follow the natural arch of your browbone. If you take a pencil hold it at the edge of your nose. It should go straight up - and mark the inner part of your eyebrow there (this is where your eyebrow begins) then take that same pencil and tilt at an angle from your nose to the edge of your eye - this is where your eyebrow should end. As a general rule - DO NOT overpluck. What I suggest at this time so you won't overpluck is to get them done professionally - and then maintain them. I would keep the thickness (but not Brook Shields thick) because thin eyebrows are just scary. To keep them clean of ingrown hairs - I suggest boo boo zap! by Benefit Cosmetics. I've included a link to them. I also included a link to Sephora for Anastasia Eyebrow stencils. They are AWESOME - I had my eyebrows done at her salon in NYC. Good luck sweetie :)

follow your natural eyebrow shape if your plucking. clean up the excess hair first, and then thin them out a little more if you need to.
if you are waxing, do it at a salon! tell the person that you want natural looking eyebrows, but not too thick.
dont ever ever go for that overplucked, overwaxed look. it's horrible!

you really only need to get them fixed if you have a lot of stray hairs underneath your eyebrows. or if they're like REALLY thick.
go to a professional, have them waxed. buy a pair of tweezers.
and after you get them waxed tweeze the stray hairs everyday.
i get mine waxed once a month, and i tweeze them everyday.
