What did your baby do before they finally crawled? My 6 month old has been wiggling around everywhere lately and she bobs her head up and down and all sorts of other things! are these precursors to crawling? How long did it take your kids to figure it out?

my son never actually crawled. he did an army crawl and just drug his legs behind him and about 7 months. he started walking at 11 months. but what your baby is doing is getting ready to start moving around. good luck when he does. you won't be able to keep up with them.

My son sat up at 4 1/2 months. Crawled at 6 months and shortly after that, learned how to roll over. He did things a little backwards!

Mine crawled around 8 months and started walking before the first year.

It was 7 months and when they start wiggling around and can hold their head up they are almost ready. My friends baby didn't start crawling until 9 months so don't worry they all do it eventually.

My older son didn't "technically" crawl until he was 1. He did a kind of belly flop/scoot to get around. They each do things their own way, so don't worry! Besides, I believe the actually "standard" to crawl is about 8 months, so you still have awhile before you should even think to worry!

All 3 of my girls were crawling @ 5-6 months and had their own style too.

My son crawled at 5 months. But he is suuuuper active. He walked by 11 months. I think you're fine. See the baby's doc if you're concerned.

Right around six month, once they start rocking back and forth they are very close to crawling.
