What can I pair opaque stockings with? I know short skirts look nice. But what about tops and shoes?? Any links to pics for reference??? (I have a pair of black opaque stockings.)

Those types of tights are really in this year! I have a capri pair the same color, and I love them. I recommend keds' distressed "mary janes" in burgundy (see keds.com or shoes.com). They're best with cute flats like those that aren't open-toed, but I'm thinking about going open-toed with some tights just to mix things up a bit (like with some peep-toe wedges). For tops, just about anything goes. Keep it casual, and do something retro if you can--the tights hail from the 80's. Delia's (they prob have a website, try delias.com) has great, funky 70's and 80's style tops and sweaters. If you want a less out-there look, just pair a cute ribbed tank top with a cropped sweater or shrug. Express has some cute tops this fall (express.com has tons of pics). Good luck, and have fun!

Skirts with knee high boots are my personal preference for cold weather and a nice top. Try to go for more solid colours for the skirt too.
