I had just gotten off the phone with my significant other and my boss called. As I ended the call with him, I said "I love you." All I could do was hang up...I was so embarrassed.

When I was in 7th grade, our class went up to Provincetown Mass. to go whale watching. We weren't given any information about the area that we would be staying in for the few nights that we would be there. So when we were in a restaurant on our first night there, I had no idea that it was not only quite common, but also the vast majority of people living in the town and walking down the streets were same-sex couples and/or drag queens. Our table happened to be right in front of the window with a view of the main street... I looked out the window and *SMACK* I see two very obvious drag queens walking down the road. My immediate reaction was to scream "OH MY GOD!! DRAG QUEENS!!!!!!!!!" Mind you, I have nothing against glbtq people. In fact, I am a lesbian. I ment no disrespect when this popped (quite loudly) out of my mouth. I was just sooo shocked to see it all. I have never been around so many members of the rainbow crew before and it was just... wow. Unfortunately the waiter happened to be gay as well, and gave me quite the evil stare. It was very embarrassing!!
WARNING: If you are going somewhere that is completely culturally different then where you live, you should really prepare children in advance. :)

When I was working with mentally handicapped people (my first day at a new job) I was helping a girl who could not speak or walk. She would grab things and laugh. Anyhow, I had taken her into the Spring Banquet in her wheelchair. All the tables were done up nicely for the board , staff, clients and donors. I took her too close to the table (set for 40) . She grabbed the cloth and proceeded to yank the cloth off the table. All the settings, candles and flowers came with it. I stood there dumbstruck with everyone staring at me and the only thing I could say was "Sh!t, I'm retarded". Everyone gasped. I had said the "R" word. I basically just took the client and ran away. I can laugh about the whole thing now.....

There are so many of them I can't even remember them all. If I had to choose one I would have to say The time I cussed out my brother and my grandmother overheard it.
