How do you know if you have found a lump in you breast and not a normal part of the breast?

If you aren't sure what your breasts are supposed to feel like, it is a lot easier to just go to your doctor and find out. It takes away a lot of the worry you feel if you think it's cancer. They usually just turn out to be cysts or just breast tissue that you didn't know about before.
I would encourage you go see your doctor to find out, they can answer your question the best.

Well a lunp would have a different feel than the rest of the breast and if you are checking regularly than you should be able t otell if theres something different there. Comparing the feel of it to the other breast can assist you as well. In time you'll get an idea of how it should feel and know if theres something different. If you have a lump or think you may have a lump speak with a docotr right away.

When you're a younger woman, it's hard to detect abnormal lumps because your breasts are dense. If you find a prominent lump, you should see your doctor ASAP. When you do a self-exam on your breasts, you will feel small lumps, but that's normal. What isn't normal are any lumps that are prominent. If you feel like something is wrong, take no chances. The earlier breast cancer is caught, the better.

Lumps are normal just before your period. Wait until after the next period & then if you still feel it, time to see the doc.

tissue can get hard and rigid. That is normal. If you suspect any lump, or not sure, have it checked out.

anything larger than a pea size is what you will look for. If you find something then go to the doctor and have it checked out

omg i read an article about this.........she had breast cancer, i am dead serious. She had to get her whole breast cut off and her nipple reconstructed. If it is cancer I am so sorry......ill pray for you
