Is Dressing up as a guy for halloween a good idea?

Well it's kind of unoriginal. I had a friend who dressed up as a skater guy once and that was kind of cute. It's all in how you approach it. Hmm...you could go as a famous guy like Johnny Depp or Brad Pitt or maybe a sports player. If you have a guy friend who is willing you could go as a reverse couple. Make him wear a dress and make up...that would be fun.

I think it's a great idea! certainly more orignal than the "i'll wear as little as possible and toss in a tail and some animal ears so i can say i'm not just a whore" costume that so many women tend towards.

I would definately recommend picking soemthing more specific than "a guy" but there are lots of famous men that could be fun. one of my friends went as prince one year and even though she was a redhead and pale it worked and people recognized who she was supposed to be.

If you're not experienced with drag king makeup (the opposite of drag queen, of course!) I'd recommend going with a more adrogynous figure, like prince or david bowie. You can usually rig up a costume with some workout gear and a some sparkles and the rest is in the makeup and the attitude. Punk rockers might also be good - billy idol for instance, or alice cooper. black pants, a shredded tank, a studded belt, some boots and some eyeliner and you're good to go.

You'll probably need to tape your chest down regardless of which direction you go. Wear a sports bra or a tank top and get some one to wrap your chest for you. if you're smaller, an a or b cup, an ace bandage should work. if you're bigger, you'll want to use duct tape. and yes, it's going to be uncomfortable. Start at the top of your chest and work towards your waist. you want to flatten your chest, not give yourself poppin' fresh breasts, which is what happens if you work the other way. when your'e done, wear another shirt on top - a tank or tee, and if you still don't look totally flat toss on an open button down or a jacket to camoflage the rest.

You'll probably want to pencil in heavier brows if you pluck yours, and draw in some side burns using short strokes so it doesn't look like you drew it on with a marker. if you're feeling ambitious and know some stage makeup techniques you can use some hair from your hairline (or trim those split ends) and some spirit gum to glue some hair for full mustaches/goatees. you want to glue only the tips of the hair to your face so it looks like actual hair growth, not mush the hair flat against your face.

for stubble you can use a stipple sponge, and if you're really good at makeup you can use highlight and shadow to change the appearace of your face, bring out a more prominent jaw line and brow bone, and even make your face appear more square and less feminine.

I was a guy for halloween last year. Halloween is dressing up in costumes, if you're a girl I guess that would be dressing up!

I think it's cute if you get oyur bf or a close guy friend to go as a girl, and you go as a guy, and you're a "couple" for Halloween.
