Who was more talented? Who was better all around? I already have my mind firmly made up, I just would like to see what everyone else thinks.

Pearl Jam without a question. The angst of Cobain was sickening. Anyone who eats a shotgun deserves no respect anyhow. Eddie Vedder is far more talented even with his politics.

Pearl Jam has the better musicians, but Nirvana was the better band. Kurt was one of the best song writers since Lennon and the band played with more raw energy. Pearl Jam has more of a timeless quality. they'll probably end up having a career like U2 or the Stones. Nirvana was Hendrix and The Doors.

talent wise it has to be pearl jam
better all round, nirvana
nirvana was like a shot in arm for the music industry but pearl jam was doing it underground before nirvana made rock cool again.
plus pearl jam was the front runners of the seatlle scene along with motherlovebone, soundgarden and alice in chains.

I do enjoy Nirvana more so then Pearl Jam but they both rock.

Definitely Pearl Jam. Their variations on lyrical content and sound plus their stance on the music industry and politics have definitely broke them away from being just another "grunge" band. Unfortunatly Nirvana was not able to grow in other directions due to the death of Cobain. They too, may have matured and broadened their musical direction but we will never get the chance to see it now.

Nirvana. They will always be as good as they ever were while Pearl Jam still has the potential to get crappy.
