The odor is part of being male. Remember, modern society is only a few hundred years old at most -- older society a few thousand -- but we have been evolving to get where we are for hundreds of thousands.

At one point, the odor helped attract sex partners. It still (as long as the person is clean and you just mean the "c*ck and b*lls odor that surrounds a male's parts) is very pleasing to most gay males and straight females.

As to why it sounds like a bag of liquid -- I never thought of it that way. It sounds like something being slapped if you do it the traditional up and down -- and that's ok -- it gives it pleasure and it gives you pleasure. Just enjoy it.
