Yeah, it's called adding and multiplying.
Today is August 16. There are 15 more days in August, 30 in September, 31 in October, 30 in November, and 31 in December, for a total of 137 days remaining in the year.
There are 6 years remaining until 31-Dec-2012. Each year has 365 days for a total of 2190 days. 2008 and 2012 are leap years, so adding two more days to the total, we get:
137 + 2190 + 2 = 2329 days remaining.

I entered +date(2012,12,31)-date(2006,8,15) and came up with 2330 days.
But why do you want to know this? Do you think that is when the end of the world is? Supposedly that's when the Mayan calendar ends, although I think that occurs on December 21, 2012 instead. Saying this is the end of the world is like saying that if your car has 99,999 miles on it, and you drive it another mile, it will instantly vanish (or be totaled in an accident or something of that sort).
Stop think apocalyptically and start thinking about how you are going to live a fulfilling lifetime and how you are going to help humanity exist for the foreseeable future.

I have a countdown on the index page of my website to 12-21-2012 which is the beginning of the 13th Baktun of the Mayan Long Count Calendar, which some people wrongly claim is the "end" of the calendar and of the world. You can copy the Javascript and modify it for 10 days later.

this is the most simple thing!It don't need any formula!
there ismroe than 6 years to dec-31th-2012 so it is 6*365y=2190
there s 2 leap years during this time so it is 2190+2=2192
and u should plus the days haven't past in 2006 and there still have138 days(the reigion where i lives is aug-15th-2006)
so it is 2192+138=2330days

365 x 6 +2 (leapyrs) -number of days gone from this yr.= number of days til end of 2012.
Do you know something we don't about that date? If so share I may want to convert my stocks earlier then retirement...just kidding.
