Because they dun wanna screw with changing the measurement on US packaging when it's sold in almost every major country in the world, and we're one of about 2 countries that still use the "standard" system.

I can buy Coca-Cola in containers of 2-liter, 1-liter, 16-oz, 12-oz, and so on. Only arrogance calls ounces, pounds, and feet the 'standard system of measurement'. Nowadays, the metric system is more common around the world than anything else. Technical superiority can win out over custom, but it may take a long time.

Coca-Cola is measured in Liters because it saves on cost of production. The company does not have to change the size of bottle, and the printing on the lable. This is why most common items are standardized.

34 years ago my 5th grade teacher told me it was URGENT that I learn the Metric System, URGENT!!... LOL... yes, that is so I can tell a 1 liter drink from a 2 liter drink... I was told back then that we would be converting to the metric system and that would be all we would use. Some states even put metric kilometer signs on the highway, I remember them around Knoxville for awhile, I don't know if they are still there or not. I cannot answer this any better than with nonsense just as the truth to why we use it a little and not all the way is nonsense.

Because we are the only nation in the world with the capability of screwing up a space program by miscalculation in trajectory with mismatched unit systems -- and we are proud of it... LOL

Because you are almost the only people left not using metric. and i guess because you are a minority it is probably cheaper for Coke to put liters on it and deliver it to the metric world... haha.... thats probably it...
