1) Find their own gender more attractive than the opposite.

2) Subconsciously flirt and check out members of their own
gender, until attention is forced to someone of the opposite gender.

3) Have sexual feelings towards those of their own gender.

My friends often wonder about me because of that. By the way I am 17.

Evan, my friend. You just don't sound like a straight person.

You might be gay, than again you might just be admiring an attractive guy because you want to be like him and get the chicks, you might go both ways which is really screwed up to go through that in life. Friends often try to emulate behaviours of other good friends and my admire someone in their own gender without wanting anything sexual. I suspect you may have to deal with these feelings with more professional help and not on yahoo answers

Either you're bent as a five bob note, or being 17 your hormones are playing tricks on you.

Have you felt like this for some time or is this a one off, if its a long term feeling you'll need some leather trousers.

I don't think its anything to be ashamed of, but better to accept it

Well honestly, its probably because subconsciously you're into the same gender.

Congrats on being 17. ME TOO! :) email me if you want to chat more.

You are either gay or bisexual. Plenty of straight people experiment with the same sex but they don't feel the way you have described yourself and sexuality is all about the way you feel.

Straight people don't feel like that.
In fact, most straight people are repulsed by the idea of sex with their own gender.
You might be half straight, ie bisexual

Yeah your gay but i wouldnt worry myself over it. Must be harder for you going through that horrible puberty spell though. God, the nightmare of it all. Glad i passed through it ok. My problem is the opposite of yours. I spend all day looking at women. Never do anthing about it though.
