I have three little girls 11, 8, 6, they want costumes for Halloween and they want to have a theme. I thought of the 3 Fates but no one else like the idea. I also thought of 3 blind mice. No one liked it either. Does anyone have any ideas. Please keep in mind I will probably be making them myself.

They could all dress up as gypsies and you could basically just get some cheap jewelry from the store and then sew some cute skirts seeing as your making the costumes yourself. Oh and another cute idea would be them each dressing up like a movie star. You could have them dressed up in a long dress, long gloves, feather boa, etc. Hula girls, Disney characters, Little Bo Peep and Sheep, triplets, and like someone else mentioned- pirates. That's about all of the ideas I have to offer. Good luck on finding an idea which all three of your girls agree on!

Olympics theme:
gymnast
ballerina
ice skater
You'll need one piece bathing suits for each girl(if none of them have a leotard). Throw in some #1 medals you find in goody bags for good measure, if you want.
For the gymnast, have the girl choose a (simple) updo hairstyle,with some accessories-of course!, put a little mascara and lipstick on and paint her nails. (this'll make up for not having as much accessories as the other two)
For the ballerina, her hair can be either up or braided, some lip gloss or chapstick, a (preferably sheer) swim cover-up to match and go around her waist, and if they don't have ballet slippers, flat dress shoes will do-but if they don't want to be more comfy, just put two layers of socks on, it'll keep their feet warm without hurting them.
For the ice skater, you can decorate the swimsuit/leotard with glitter glue, or hot glue beads and rhinestones to it. Her hair can be braided or in a bun (not complete ponytail), have painted nails and some chapstick on her lips, and for the shoes...maybe dress shoes or two layers of socks would work good.
I think it'd be a good idea (if you and the girls choose this idea) if all three girls dress up as ice skaters. That way they can create their own costumes-plus, you could go in your sweats and that could count as a coach's costume!

the three stooges (just kidding) how about the princess theme..Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty..you get the idea...since they aren't up on what you have suggested, did you see if they have any ideas? they might just surprise you with some real good ones

Jasmine aka Jeannie aka harem girls...I did this one year and they had matching magenta Jasmine outfits with satin pants with overlay and jewels on the belt and headband. it was cute and fit the age differences
