The best lesson that I learned from life is that there's a reason when things don't work out as I'd hoped. There's something ELSE I'm supposed to learn. Sometimes I have to eat a slice of "humble pie" but if I eat it now I'll avoid having to eat the WHOLE pie later on.

* No matter how bleak one's life seem, it just has a way of fallin' into place kinda like a jigsaw puzzle with all the missing pieces coming together to form a big picture.
* Some things in life are not meant for change & beyond your control.
* Not everything is what they seem, the grass is not necessarily greener on the other side.

Mine would have to be:
Life is as you make of it.
Children are truly gifts from God. Who else can make you laugh at hiccups?
Laughter is a healing factor.
Practice self control. If someone angers you, you have become their slave.
Be nice to everyone. That person could someday be your boss.
In marriage, it's a lot of work, but well worth the effort.
And I saw this one the other day that I liked: Never look down on anyone unless you are looking down to help them up.

Don't trust everyone. I learned the hard way of course.
Recently, I've learned what it is to truly listen to your intuition and go with your gut feeling. For example, if something feels wrong, or if I have even the slightest doubt about something, I just don't do it. It's been working so far this year!

In my twenties, I used to be the workaholic. An old man that worked at my job once noticed that and held out a dollar. He said,"Pray to God,but don't let THIS be your God". Ever since then, I make more time for my family. No job is so important you miss the little things that happen in your family's lives.

To stop being rebellious and follow what Jesus said. He covers everything and does miraculous things in my life that others aren't even aware of.
