I have just bought a 06 saturn with Onstar, so its not a issue for a year but, would they help me if i was bleeding to death in my car with out a active account (paying them 200 a year)? I know they would still have the ablity to, but would they?

Yes they would, but you would have to push the onstar button yourself, They do not promote this if you do not buy a subscription but due to good samaritan law they would have to send help. They will NOT contact your vehicle if the airbags go off but they will answer the call. - I work for Saturn

subscription service is worth it! Engine light turns on push the button, flat tire push the button. Unconscious air bags went off they know and will summon help. Lost in Cleveland OH late at nite push the button. Get in a hurry lock your key in the car call onstar they will open the car. Car stolen? Some one else is using your on-star.

i bet the Onstar wont even work if your bill isnt paid. I doubt they want you to die but you better pay up before an emergency occurs and you actually need Onstar to save you.

if you don't pay the fee you wont have access to the services,,this is where it would get you,,its like a cell phone ,,sort of,,as long as you pay the fee you have the service,,if the fee is not payed you loose the signal,,and the code to access it with,,you might want to think about this before you decide to drop it,,i hope this help,s.

get yourself a cell phone--much cheaper than $200+ a year for only one service.
No pay No service

would you still be connected to them if you didn't pay? Why would they monitor transmissions from non-members?
