I have a 6 month old daughter and a 16 month old son. It wasn't planned but they are 10 months apart. Fun times.
For activities you might like to try baby dolls for her to play with. It may surprise you but she can entertain herself. You might invest in a push toy for her to push around. Kids love to push things around. I would recommend taking the walks right before nap time and let her entertain herself in the morning. Kids need to develop good play skills so they are able to play alone as well with others. So it will be good to play with her for a while and let her play by herself sometimes also.
Good luck

i baby-sit a 15 month old, and she LOVES being outside all day as well. No matter how long she has been outside, she still wants to stay outside, even though its burning hot. Whenever I take her back in, she starts crying at the door, and I have to distract her by either playing a different game with her or something. The games I play are games that distract her from the outside. She loves playing hide-and-seek and being chased. So, I normally start calling her name and pretending to hide somewhere while sticking my head out. She sees me and starts running towards me and within a few minutes, she's forgotten about the outside, and we go on playing different games or whatever else I have to do to her (bathe, feed, or get her ready for bed). Also, giving her a bottle of water or juice right after we've been outside distracts her as well. Then, we go on to reading or other games we do together. Hope this helps!

Let her play outside, it is good for her, and will wear her out come nap/bedtime.
Just remember to keep her well hydrated through out the day.

Other ideas, how about reading a book to her? let her choose and you read.

Simple craft ideas, make macaroni pictures with her, or let her finger paint during the hottest time of the day.

Does she have a small wading pool? if so, don a pair of old shorts and sit in it with her.

Have her help you make some kid friendly treats like pudding or sandwiches in the kitchen.
Measure out the milk for pudding and let her pour it in the bowl, when you go to put in the mix, let her dump it in the bowl as well.

Get some playdough, or find a recipie for home made playdough online, get some plastic knives, and some cookie cutters and make "cookies"
unused dough can be stored in a plastic airtight container for future use.

Make an indoor fort, play dress up, or mommy with baby dolls.

Have fun!

If she likes to be outside all day then bring the outside in. Instead of a sandbox outside, fill up a small plastic bin (not big enough to sit in but big enough to get her hands in) with uncooked rice or beans and she can play like she's digging in the sand. Put a blanket down to catch whatever she dumps out. Instead of a little pool outside fill a small plastic bin with water and a few plastic or rubber toys and she will have a blast. Make sure to put a few towels down first. Tactile things go over big with babies. Cut up different types of fabric's and paper and help her glue it onto a poster-board. My son loved doing all this and still does at 3 years old. It keeps him busy and out of mischief.

Let's see...my son (13 months) loves it when I sit on the floor with him and play just about anything. Just as long as my attention is on him. But I have to say, his favorite thing is walking around outside. There is so much for them to discover out there, you cant blame them.

Depending on your funds you can buy blocks and play hide and seek inside the living room..as she is 14mo se will have a blast looking for you behind walls...this is sure to tire her out....you can also just use things around the house to make forts chairs and blankets usualy get the job done.

Good luck.
