I was watching Any Given Sunday and wondered if something similar has ever happened in real life. For those who haven't seen the film, the first and second string quarterbacks get injured forcing the offense to utilize their 3rd string quarterback. I'm curious if this has ever happened in College or Pro football where the 3rd stringer becomes a starter.

I believe it happened to the New York Jets last year. Didn't Chad Pennington and Jay Fiedler both get injured in the same game?

It has happened quite a few times in history. I was at a Tech vs Ga game in 77 and Georgia Tech knocked Georgia's 1st and 2nd string quarterbacks out of the game winning 16-7.

Back in the early 90's the Miami Dolphins lost all three Qbs to injury on a monday night game. Tony Martin (a wide reciever) finished the game at qb.

Yes. I believe it was 2003 - MNF- Eagles at 49ers. McNabb was injured. Then Detmer was QB. He got injured and then the 3rd QB AJ Feely had to finish the game and the season.
