For color first try those that are popluar at the time. Work from there... make sure that what you wear makes you feel the most comfort for you. It's all about choice. Take trends that are popular and work with them that way.
Find ways to help slim your body with out feeling uncofortable. Chose wide leg jeans or bootcut it's really all about comfort. Tee shirts and long armed teeshirts are great combination.
But again I'm just suggesting something. Really it is up to you how you feel in these clothes.

Frankly, I don't think that most styles can be well pulled off by anyone overweight. Skinny jeans, long stripped shirts, leggings, and slouchy black boots are all currently stylish and available in most clothing stores, however, to suit your frame you won't be able to wear many of these. I would buy a lot of plain, comfortable, and fitted t-shirts, long and short sleeve in a variety of colors, and then boot cut jeans that don't go in much at the knee. Everyone can express their fashion through jewelry and shoes, no matter what their size, so aim to find the perfect accessories rather than unflattering in style clothing.

Try this site:
www.silhouettes.com
They have plus size clothing for a younger crowd...definitely not old-ladies stuff :)
You can also try Avenue.com or Makingitbig.com
Just remember that it is much more important to wear clothing that fits you properly and is comfortable to wear. If you aren't comfortable it will show in the way that you carry yourself. Don't try to squeeze into really low cut jeans and think that it looks good just because that's what other people are wearing. Wear what fits you and flatters you and you will be beautiful!

Many styles could look nice on you. As for jeans, dark wash jeans have more of a slimming effect while light wash jeans make a person look curvier. Light wash jeans are slowly going out anyways and dark wash are much more in style at the moment. If you have larger hips then a wide leg should look nice as it will balance everything out wonderfully. Low-rise jeans probably aren't your best option but that doesn't mean you have to wear high-rise. A medium rise is the rise which flatters most body types and would probably be best for you and it still looks cute! As for colours, it really depends on your skin tone for what would look good and what wouldn't.
I would avoid certain trends such as skinny jeans as you have to be very slim to pull them off well. In other words- skinny jeans look best of girls who have barely any hips. I would also avoid horizontal stripes as they make a person appear wider.

You need to evaluate what kind of shape you are before you shop. Old Navy has cute plus sized clothes. So does Cato's ,. I wouldn't go boot cut I would probably go wide legged and hide those extra pounds.
