It could be a dedicated button on the side of the case somewhere but more likely you will have to use two keys on the keyboard at the same time to enable it. You will want to find the key that is by the CTRL and ALT keys that says FN and look for either a number key(i.e 1, 2, 3) or an F key(i.e F1, F2, F3) that has a little picture of an antenna or something of the like on it. Then press those two keys together to enable it.

There is a slot that the PC card slides into, you have to push it until it clicks. Make sure that you have your router on, and your network set up if you are home. If you take your laptop out, you have to be in a hot spot.
Most of the new laptops that are coming out have a wireless card built in, and you don't have to worry about putting a card in.

you have to enable the wireless card in the system BIOS. power up you laptop and press F2 to get into the system setup. go to the avanced menu and make sure the Wireless card is enabled. save the settings and restart. that should do it.

depending on the model you should see an icon looking like an antenna or a series of lines going up, click on this and then click on search, if there are any wifi networks around it should find them
