I haven't seen every single anime ever made so I can't say yes. I've seen some that I didn't like that just were not for me. But I have found a few that are some of the best shows I've ever seen. A person can't like everything. Maybe some people (sad to say) don't like anime, or maybe you just haven't found a movie/series that you really click with. As to the blow up of it I have no idea when that started. I started watching DBZ many years ago in the US when it was quite new. I've been jumping around from series to series since then. Anime just affects me more than other things do. *shrugs*

mayb those that u saw really sucks. i have no doubt some really sucks. but u should really go n see some other big companies like Production IG, Gainax, Gonzo, Sunrise, Madhouse...... their animes is more stronger than others. from the storylines to the characters' development. All well done. Good storylines anime r like Evangelion, Ghost In The Shell, Blood the Last Vampire, Otogizoushi, The Last Exile, Speed Grapher, Eureka 7, Beck...... so many more.

Everyone has their own tastes in what they watch...I personally have loved anime since I can remember, that is no lie or exaggeration. I believe this is just a popular phase, for lack of a better word. I'm assuming as much because I too have been throw for a loop at how popular certain (keyword!!...certain!!) anime titles have suddenly become. I'm glad to know that other people have become anime fans, such as myself, but I notice it is just with certain titles like Naruto or InuYasha. Other anime titles like Samurai Deeper Kyo, Elfin Lied, Blood: The Last Vampire, Appleseed, Gravitation, Ai Yori Aoshi, Azumanga Daioh, and other titles may not be known among such Naruto or InuYasha fans. I could be wrong, but that is how I see this sudden "blow up" of anime...
But that's just my opinion. *grin*

If you look at Disney and Dreamworks movies, they seldom stray from traditional formats. Any other regular tv cartoons nowadays are, in my opinion, rather lame ie Super Duper Sumos, Xiaolin Showdown. Gone are the days of the Simpsons and Southpark.
I think its because anime productions are more adventurous in their story creation, hence their growing popularity.
There are some bad ones but there are still definitely plenty of good ones. Watch more and you'll see.

Nope. I don't realise how bad it sucks. If Disney and other american companies were doing their jobs properly...none of us would be watching anime in the first place.

Don't you ever realize that you are a close minded moron? You don't like it, fine, but don't ask everyone here to back you up. I for one was watching anime before it's "blowing up" as you put it.

Well, I like anime, but its nice to try something new to like. Anime isn't that bad at all (even though the Japanese always thinks that they're better since they're asians)...
