Marvin Harrison is better than Steve Smith, only b/c he is consistent every year. Then again, you would be a fool not to vote Harrison with a QB like P. Manning to throw him the ball.
So maybe the question should be, Who would you rather receive the ball from if you were Steve Smith or Marvin Harrison:
(1) P. Manning
(2) J. Delhome ???

In the first 5 years Marvin had better numbers overall. Harrison is in his 10th season where Smith is only on his 6th. If I would have to pick one to be on my team now it would be Smith only because of age. Marvin I believe will have the better career numbers, when it's all said and done. Of course, you have to take into account the QB's that are getting the ball and the type of offense that is ran.

Both are extremely good receivers.
Steve Smith had the better stats last year (amazing stats) mostly because of his incredible speed, strength and tricks (making defenders miss). He also has the worse qb out of the two, and the downside of being doubled and even tripled covered as he was carolinas only weapon on offence.
Marvin Harrison has the chemistry with Manning, the knowledge of reading the secondary, the precise routes combined with his speed/strength. He also has the consistensy. 7 consecutive years of 1100+ yards and at least 10 td's is amazing.
Overall i would have to say Marvin Harrison is the better receiver, but mad props to Smith. If reggie wayne wasnt on the colts i would draft harrison before smith, but smith is still the number one WR fantasy wise.

i would probly say marvin harrison but u cant compare the two. steve smith had 1 breakout year and thats all. all the others hes been a back up. marvin has been in the game for what 10 12 yrs maybe? hes been gifted with a good quarterback in peyton manning. carolina has had minor qb problems through steve smiths years so its not really fair to either of them to compare the two.

Steve Smith is the more explosive player right now. But when they were the same age, Marvin by far. Its not even close. Harrison is one of top WR ever, Smith will just be a little spot when his career is over.

what do you mena nasty? he PLAYS nasty, the way he lights up defenses. marvin harrison is a product of a great quarterback who can tell marvin where to go so he'll b oopen. steve smith is only getting better this year with the addition of keyshawn johnson. i bet he has at least 10 more cathers, 200 more yards, and 3 more TDs than harrison this year
