Gorilla Glue! make sure you have clamps though, keep in mind, Gorilla Glue EXPANDS! Do not use liberally. But seriously, you can buy a whole new toilet seat plus cover for 20 bucks, the glue is like 5 bucks. So you choose whichever you want.

You said top I hope you are just talking about the lid if so go to a plumbing supply wharehouse and bring the lid and they can get you a replacement. It wont be more than 25 dollars.
Do not go to Home Depot
or Lowes they can't help.

Call local plumbers. They sometimes keep the lids as replacements for if their customers need them. Cost about $20.

two part expoxy will work but realy the lid it is junk.
But this will work if you do not have the money to replace the tiolet.

carnation milk put on both pieces tape together let dry
