That depends on if he is a good father, if you are strictly breast feeding, where he is going, and how badly you need the break. Babies are portable and can go most places most of the time, but if your baby has a weak immune system, then it is best to keep baby in "safe" environments where it will not be exposed to as many germs as, say, church nursery, shopping mall, market, etc.

If the guy is listed as the father on the birth certificate and there is no court order stating otherwise then he can take the baby any where he wants to as soon as the baby leaves the hospital. But keep in mind they say that a baby does not need to leave the house for a few weeks due to their weak immune system. They will be susceptible to viruses and bacteria and could become sick. I hope this helps. GOOD LUCK

Totally depends. Different kids are different and would some would be more comfortable away from mom than others.

If the child is exclusively nursing (no bottles or anything) then I'd say that unless it was a VERY short trip, not until around 6 mos when baby starts solids. If baby could have bottles of pumped EBM, I'd say no earlier than about 6-8 weeks.....and then again, a short trip of no more than a couple of hours apart from mom.

seven to eight years old... but it depends on the mother's situation..meaning if:

- she CAN'T financially support for the baby
- she HAS mental problems
- she CAN'T physically & emotionally support the baby(i think mental problems and this is the same).
If she has these three situations then probably you can try to get the baby going thru a court and lawyer to assist you.

But if she is not all of these I mentioned above than you'll probably have to wait till the baby reaches 7 or 8 yrs.old, that was the situation of my parents when they had to fight over me. I went with my mom cause she was financially, emotional, mentally and physically stable. I started to go with my dad when I was 7 yrs.old. and they were not married by the way.

why does the father have to take him/her out of the house? a baby needs the attention of both parents if possible.

Providing that the father has been named on the birth certificate, and paternity has been established and is recognized by the state that the child lives in.
Then he has to file for custody, if he is granted custody, then he can remove the child.
If custody is not awarded to the father and he attempts to take the child, he will be arrested for kidnapping.

The baby can leave the mother for short periods through out the day. If she is breastfeeding it depends on how often they are eating. If they are bottle feeding then it can be for longer.

For how long and where? If the Mother is breastfeeding you won't want to be out very long. Dr.'s recommend not taking a newborn to large public places because of germs. You don't want to get a newborn sick.

a baby should be nursing for a minimum of two years, to protect its health, iq, and attachment to mom. i would say the child should not be away from mommy unitl the child wants to be. age 5 or 6 at a minimum.
