how do i deal with a boyfriend who would rather see his dad first then me when hes been gone for 3 months?
and we are gettin married when hes gets back from the army in november and hes gettin stationed out of state and we are moving away for 4 yrs and 6 months. am i bein to selfish?

First off you should never be jealous of the family. Secondly if you guys are getting married soon then focus on that. You will have a lifetime w/ him. I know from experience of being a military wife that it's not easy being away from family for either person in the marriage. So cherish the time you have w/ family members. ANd let him cherish the time w/ his dad.

When you marry a guy who's in the service you marry the service. With the prospect of DEATH fairly imminent, I'd hope that you'd respect the father-son bond. It might be a little bit more precarious if it were the mother-son bond and yet, with death in the mix, even THAT takes precedence.
You are the new kid on the block -- for now. Like it or not, you have to establish your commitment to him. You have to assure his ma and pa that you will be the one who will take care of him when you're gone.

You shouldnt do anything. Thats his dad and if yall are goin to move then he should try to spend as much time with his dad as possible. You never know when the last time will be. Dont be mad or take it out on him just let him go, im sure he needs this time with his dad.

i dont think u should get upset cause his family is #1 not u
and u should understand that is his father
but u should also sit down with him and communicate tell him how u feel so he could balance the two ok
