My friend says i am cheap because a couple times a month she calls and asks me to eat at this really fancy restaurant called sakura and it costs over $20.00 per person. I am only 14, jobless, and have to pay for my own dinners when i eat out. What do you think?

Number 1, I think your so called friends that call you cheap aren't really true friends. When I was your age, I sure couldn't have gone out to eat at a place like that. My parents didn't have the money and I wouldn't have even asked them for that kind of money for a meal. I still wouldn't spend that much on a meal for just myself and I am a grown 45 year old woman. It doesn't mean that I am cheap, I just care where my money goes and I have to watch every cent I make. Some people don't have to worry about money, but alot of us do and that doesn't make us cheap. It makes us smart. Tell your friends how that really hurts your feelings because I know that it does. If they are true friends, they will understand. Hang in there.

no one should expect a jobless 14 year old to be able to pay for their food and someone else's all the time

You are not cheap. You are reasonable. Your friend is stupid.
If your friend invites you to eat at an expensive reataurant, then he should pay for your share, after all he did the inviting!

Make a note of those occasions and when you have a car (and you will long before your friend), your "cheapness" will be your own reward.

well if you where older i would say you are cheap, but since you are only 14 then no.but if your friend thinks your so cheap then why doesn't your friend pay for you??

ur friend has champainge taste on a beer budget...u dont need to go to a fance place at 14.....try wendys much cheaper...ur not cheap at all

No that girl is materialistic and tell her that not everyones mom and dad dish out money to them. If she doesn't like it tell her to hit the road.

no way... not all of us can afford dat kind of luxury especially when ur 14.. tell your friend to wake up and realise the reality of life!
