Israel bomber Hez. positions in Beirut, they didn't bomb Beirut as punishment for Hez. So, your question is automatically flawed.

As for bombing the root of al Q.? Ask your average Taliban official (official sponsor of al Q.) how they like their country now.

Hard question, but hard to know what God would want. US is in a place that is so complex that it could not explain a reason to do that. Israel is God chosen people, so they are going to do what God is leading them to do. Peace, God's Peace is what we all need.....He loves the world that he gave his only son to save us. How awesome is that!!!!!!
