I saw this on television, but no one was wearing the underwear while it was sent up the flag pole...I think it would be much more fun if I was still in it.

I would especially be happy to see the opinion of an experienced physicist! Will the velocity at which I am sent up have any effect on whether my underwear rips in this process? Thank you!

It will not tear as long as you have a successful wedgie. I'm also wondering if the underpants you saw sent up the flag pole were the same underpants that my mother lost in the airport scanner. I bet that's where they ended up; on that flag pole (ha! ha!).

well, considering that in a different post you mentioned "cutting your underwear so they ripped easier when recieving a atomic weggie", i doubt you will be able to reach the top before they are no longer able to support your weight. but if you were to buy a new pair, you may make it, that is if the pulley supports you and if one of your "'arch'itect enemies/ superheros" doesn't go and chop away at the base of the pole with a hack saw so it is barely connected to the cement base the night before your experiment

Im not an experienced physicist but id say they would tear due to stress at the seems where they are sown. The weekest point gives first.

If you make it up the flag pole without falling out, I will be surprised. And yes, they will probably rip.

well i would believe it would rip and that you would fall and break your neck as much fun as that may turn out to be i suggest that you dont do it because well you would be the laughing stock of the school and people would think that you are an idiot, so please dont do it maybe just string up the panties instead good luck!
