Can someone please help my friend has a cub scout group where one child is constantly hanging off the other scouts it is making them uncomfortable and they would like some activities to teach this child how to let others have their space any help would be great.

An adult needs to tell this child to keep their hands to themselves. It should be a standard rule for any group activities and probably is standard in school. Give them all hula hoops as their space and have them do the activity of the day within the confines of the hula hoop. Whom ever accomplishes it gets a prize, like a piece of candy.
"please keep your hands to yourself"
"he doesn't want you to be touching him right now"

Show an appropriate distance to keep from one person to another. Do a demonstration, make it a game so the children will feel they are learning something fun.

Explain exactly that people leave some type of space between them according to the situation they are in. Explain the four type of spaces there are; personal space, intimicay space, social space.,...and the other one i forgot...check the web ;-) its worthy for you to learn to!

I have a special child and that is something that was taught. take your arms and reach them out and turn all the way around and that is your personal space. Your room is your personl place. Hope it helps. :-)

try talking to the parent and/or the child
an activity may not drive the point home and nothing beats a gentle directive.
