I answered this question 13 hours ago, but wanted you to know some of the ones on a posting of another user (Lady J) are incorrect. An allegorical story is supposed to be short; some of her examples would be better known as fiction. I know this because I am an English and History Major. If you click on the links that I included, you can get many different examples. In addition, you can also find a summary of these kinds of books.
I wish you the best of luck!

George Orwell's "Animal Farm" is a famous allegorical story. Its about a farm and the animals get into politics with each other, fighting over how the farm should be run. It is an allegory of what happens when people have a revolution, and how they tend to go wrong.
That's the best allegory I can think of right now...

Some people refer to the story of Job in the Bible as allegorical... some refer to the story of Adam and Eve as allegorical as well. The purpose of the allegory is to teach a lesson or reveal a deep truth.

Animal Farm--the Russian Revolution.
Some could argue that "A Christmas Carol" is allegorical--that it's really arguing against capitalism and for socialism.

I know of The Little Prince and Lord of the Flies. They're both wonderful.
In case you didn't know, an allegory is a story about something that's actually about something else, if that makes any sense. Like Lord of the Flies is literally about boys on an island, but it symbolizes the tendency of man to be....evil.
