Vaseline is probably the best idea, because it doesn't have all that many ingredients in it. Keep it simple.
Even better, buy some Glycerin (or is it Glycerol)? From a drugstore. I'm sorry I don't remember which one it is. Whichever it is, it's the main ingredient in Vaseline and all chap sticks. It's the ingredient that does all of the work. Everything else is additives.
Ask the people at the drugstore if it's Glycerol or Glycerin. Or check the ingredients on your Vaseline/chapstick.

Hi, seems like you could attack this two ways. First, you are probably dehydrated. Try to drink at least 64 ounces of liquid a day. About 4 12 ounce bottes of water and a big glass of gatorade for the electrolytes. Secondly, use a powerful product on your lips. My wife sells Mary Kay products and a couple of winters ago I had a terrible time with dry hands and lips. I increased my intake of liquids and used her satin hands and satin lips products (and I'm not even gay, lol!) and I was really impressed with the turn around. Good luck!

Could be your caffine intake. Or if you take certain allergy meds it could be that too. Try only drinking water for the next week. In the mean time try neosporin on your lips at night and Aveeno chapstick during the day. If in a week it's no better go see a Dermatologist.

Drink alot of water it may be that your dehydrated yourself. I like to use Carmex through the day and just that. You could also try vitamin E or A to rub on your lips.

Their is a diaper ointment (yes, I am serious) called A&D. It is not the zinc one, which is gross. This one is in a yellow tube. If I have a chapped nose from a cold or chapped lips, I smother them with A&D and it works wonders!

alot of products have alcohol in it that is drying. Aside from a possible medical problem you could have, just use a plain chapstick and dont use any lipstick or lipgloss, the one you use probably has drying agents in it that is depleting your lips of their natural oils.
Just try a Chapstick, and lay off the fancy stuff.

Try drinking more water. Take your weight and divide by two and that is how many ounces of water you should be drinking a day. Example, 150 pounds / 2 = 75 ounces of water.

Do you drink enough water or other liquids? I wear lipstick every day and it keeps mine from chapping. But if you don't get enough liquids into your daily intake it can be very serious.
I have also used the 100% cocoa butter sticks they smell wonderful to me!

Ask the pharmacist. Also be sure to use chapstick with sunscreen. And like someone else suggested, drink lots of water. Be sure you're eating healthy and getting enough calories. Your body needs nutrients.
