I'm working on a sculpture of a demon head (synthetic taxidermy head) and would like to find a name for a horned demon. It would be cool if there was a specific story of how the demon was slain in battle. The name can come from any source; christian, oriental, egyptian, japanese, etc. Thanks!

Before you name it, I would suggest you accept a few of them and then google any suggestions given so that you can find pictures to see what actually suits it best.

There are so many types of Demon's and the moment someone looks at the sculpture, someone who KNOWS about that stuff, they are going to get irritated if the discover the name used was for a totally different demon.

But that is me as an artist speaking...

Kreator
Not too sure about the story, I just remember reading an interview of Mille Petroza, the singer/guitarist of the german thrash band of the same name, years ago in a metal magazine and he was asked how they came up with the name Kreator, he said it was the name of demon that was the baddest among others in the story.

Please research your name well. Especially if you want a demon, and not just another God that the pagans worshipped. Modern "demonologists" are notorious for just throwing every creepy looking god or spiritual being into a list and pretending they serve the Christian Devil.

Examples of entities listed on this thread that are not demons:
- Marduk
- Eurynome
- Cernunnos

I used to host a site that might've helped out, but it's been hacked by a script-kiddy. Sorry.

I'll go with the guess that your demon is male. Using this analogy, may I suggest the following names of demons from the TV show "Charmed"?

Bethazar

Shaqx

Vinceres

Have a lovely rest of the evening.

Seth is the Egyptian 'Devil'. It is pronounced Set. There is good information about him online. He was battled by Horus, his nephew after slaying his brother Osiris.

"Rakan"(Philipino) is said to be the god of war, although his full story I couldnt find its still a good name. "Zapan" (Christian origin but Japanese dialect) is one of the theorized lords of hell. He is the most ruthless of the six, so it is said, and is a planned advocate of the highest ordered, obviously "Satan.""Zagan" commander of 36 regions in hell, king of demons and deciept
