They have water and rocks nicely divided. I just used plain old water to clean the tank no chemicals.

I am not an expert in frogs, but...

1. Basement temps are awfully cold for frogs. They like warmer water. The ideal is to offer them a tank with warm spots and cool spots. The warm spots should be 80ish.

2. Tap water has a lot of chemicals that bother frogs. Try using distilled water, or at least let your water sit for 24 hours in an open container so some o fthe chlorine can escape.

3. Crickets are OK, but try some other foods as well- whatever worms the pet shop has, for example.

4. What kind of frogs? Some frogs have special needs- some frogs don't even like being in water! Wild-caught frogs have a specially hard time adapting to captivity.

Good luck!

1st of all u shpold call the vet or the pet store. They could be cold if you don't have a heater or lamp- most amphibians need warmth, but you didn't say what kind of frogs they were. Did you clean the tank with something chemical and maybe it didn't all wash out? Do they have water? Are they young frogs and the crickets are too big for them? Did you get the crickets from the pet store or outside? (wild crickets can carry diseases)

Frogs are cold blooded, they will need some sort of heat light to maintain the necessary body temperature to digest their food properly, if not it will rot inside them and kill them. There is also an issue with the water. If the container has only just been put into use, there hasn't been enough time for nitrifying bacteria to grow (it turns the frogs waste - ammonia, into harmless nitrate). The water your frogs are in is also making them very sick. You will need to change half of it every day for three days, then every other day for six days, then once a week. Use aged tap water, distilled water, or reverse-osmosis cleaned water.

Did you put clorine remover in the water when you replaced it? If not do so.
