Yes. I think flying rods are real. Astronauts to this day when they close their eyes experience flashes of light which are actually subatomic particles passing through their bodies. The reason we dont experience them on Earth is the Earth's gravitational field bends them around the planet.

I saw a special on Flying Rods...it turns out they are fast flying bugs caught on camera.
