When you (or the tech who changed the oil) poured fresh oil into the car some might have spilled outside into the hot engine / exhaust manifold. The engine gettes even hotter when you start it after the oil change and drive. Hense the smell you notice is just some drops of oil burning away under the hood. When this happens, depending on the volume of the spill smoke might apprear also. The smell would go away after a day or two. You should be fine.

Check the belt for a shiny gloss on the smooth side. If no gloss check for something hanging around under the vehicle on the exhaust. If there is a gloss, pull off the belt and spin ALL of the pulleys to be certain nothing is binding up or broken. Good Luck

If you spilled any on the engine when you were pouring the oil in, it would have a funny smell.
Sometimes if fanbelts need adjusting, they can slip and cause the smell of burning rubber -- most of the time you can just tighten them, though.
Finally, if your breaks are too tight or sticking, that would cause the smell of rubber burning also. Burning breaks smell like rubber, so if none of the other things are the cause, check your brakes.

check several things, Did you spill oil on any hot engine parts when you refilled it, did you spill old oil on the exhaust pipes when you drained it, are you belts in good shape. also check if there are any rubber hoses on hot engine parts. open hood and check for smoke see if you can find the source if there is.

did you miss the oil hole filling it with oil? Or get oil on the exhaust while removing the filter? Are any belts squealing?

It could be. Or maybe the emergency brake. If it is the belt there is probably a squealing noice of some kind.

The burning rubber smell you smell is the smell of burning rubber from the car next to you that just beat you because you are too slow.
